The Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

Eng. Com. Sub. for House Bill 5083—A Bill to amend and reenact §17A-2A-7 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to granting vehicle towing and recovery companies access to vehicle owner contact information on demand for notification purposes; requiring the Division of Motor Vehicles to make vehicle owner contact information available on demand by July 1, 2024; and requiring towing and recovery companies to notify certain vehicle owners of the vehicle’s new location within 48 hours of moving the vehicle.
